Hagia Sophia, in Istanbul, is so old. It is shocking to me that a building can stand that long and still be so beautiful.
Ernest was working on a Latin translation about Justinian and Hagia Sophia. We knew of this amazing landmark from past studies, but never took the time to find out how old it really is or seriously look at pictures.
I live in New York state with my husband, cat, and three children. The cat doesn't normally come before the children. They do their learning with me at home using the classical method, and we have a great time doing it... if we don't sleep too late. Inspired by a friend who has particularly excellent blog names for her children, I simply could not help myself and gave them names that would surely cause eyes to roll, if they only knew. Sabrina (11) loves the sabre; Ernest (9) tends to be so; and Theodore (6) still snuggles like a little teddy bear.
