I finally took a peek at Ann Voskamp’s book One Thousand Gifts. It is probably worth reading.
The many who are following up by purposefully choosing to be thankful for all the little things in life (and listing those gifts in their blogs) are the ones who convinced me. I do not live a hard life by any stretch of the imagination, but I’m not that different from most everyone else in my temptation to start wallowing on a bad day. Sometimes I even have the gall to think that my gifts are acting on me as curses. I should go pick this book up for the reminders that I’m sure flow throughout its pages. It would probably help my school day with Ernest, my brilliant distracted child.
